Crawfordsville, Indiana, February 21, 2022 – Registration is now open for the Inaugural Midwest Regional Workshop—Health Farms, Healthy Communities, presented by Geosmin Agricultural Solutions (www.geosmin.us). It is a farmer-focused workshop to develop farm management solutions for improved soil health and agroecosystems through organic and sustainable farming practices. Farmers who either currently are or considering practicing soil health, regenerative agriculture, or organic practices will get timely advice from expert farmers, researchers, and specialists.

Farmers will discuss, both on stage and in a farmer panel, their inspiration for transitioning to soil health, regenerative agriculture, and organic farming, challenges they have overcome along the way, and their current operation.

Academic, government, and non-profit specialists will discuss farming practices for soil health measurement, new technologies for manure and nutrient management, alternative methods for weed management, transitioning to organic production, and managing reduced till organic farming. CCA credits are available.

The event will be held on March 23, 2022 at Hidden Hollow Farm near Crawfordsville. The cost of registration is $25 and will include a complimentary breakfast which will start at 8:00am with the main program starting at 9:00am. Complimentary lunch will be served at noon featuring pulled pork, brisket, mashed potatoes, green beans, drinks, and dessert. The program will conclude at 3:30pm.

There will be a hotel room discount available at Holiday Inn Express, Crawfordsville, Indiana. The group discount access code is “farmer workshop”. Room rates are $89.00 per room per night plus 10% tax per room per night, discounted from regular rate of $107.00. The cutoff date for making reservations is March 13, 2022.
